AN EXCELLENT LONG DISTANT BOOT
By Luke on 07/02/2014
I bought a pair of these a year ago from a army surplus store intending on completing the RAF WARMA 2 day march and the Nijmegen march, I had heard a lot of great reviews from my fellow team mates about magnums and felt I should give them a go! THEY ARE AMAZING! When I first put them to the test breaking them in it felt like they were made for my feet! Didn't need to be broken in and felt like slippers! After around 200 miles of training on Tarmac they took me to RAF Warma and they performed fantastically! No blisters, no rubbing and I pretty much skipped though the 50 miles! I then went along and completed my Gold DofE in thick mud and 2 inches of rain, feet remained bone dry! Then onto Nijmegen where I completed the march no feet problems at all apart from a small blister that I didn't even notice until the end of the march! However, after a year of grueling training in all conditions they have given up on me as I have a whole in both the heals that lets water though! But if you want a boot for cadets, going to Nijmegen or DofE especially then see are the boot for you! I'm now buying a pair of classic cen boots as I hear they have higher durability! Well done Magnum! Read Less
MAGNUM'S .......AGAIN!
By Neil Roberts on 18/10/2013
This is my second pair of magnums the last ones were Magnum Stealth Force 8.0 which lasted me 3 years and if not for the soles wearing out i would have still used them as the uppers are still in good shape. Its important to look after your feet when patrolling for long periods and also to have good ankle support in times of physical action so to speak and my stealth's did all that was expected of them all weathers all terrain and all temps nothing was too much for those boots.I checked out the reviews for these cobras and decided to give these a chance to see how they perform having just took them out of the box i have not tested them as yet but they feel like a magnum boot should feel ie: good build quality, top class leather, and a great feel offering good support around my ankles and all they will need is breaking in ill stick some dubbing on them over night to soften the leather even more then polish them before my shift starts.....ill do another review in 12 months time to see how they matched up against my trusty stealth's. HOW GOOD THE COBRA'S ARE TO WEAR
By stuart willis on 19/10/2012
The Cobra's are brilliant. They are 100% waterproof - that was proven during bad weather when I had to walk in deep water to get to some of my patients. They are very warm when it is cold outside - they are a proper, good winter boot. They are really good to drive in and are comfy whilst driving. And they are a tough boot - one of the best boots Magnum have made to date - I think the Cobra's are the best. Read Less
